A Software Engineer based in West Sussex, UK
I’m Amy, an independent individual who is passionate about design and developing clean and beautiful functional design from applications to websites efficiently.
I also provide creative direction and best practice for email and web design. I approach design with empathy and focus on the needs of the user. My willingness to learn gives me the opportunity to collaborate and work with other teams to better understand other people’s behaviours, requirements and motivation leading to clear and impactful solutions that improve their lives.
Graduated with a 2:1 BA (Hons) degree in Digital Media from the University of Brighton.
Currently a graduate of Digital Futures, Software Engineering pathway.
Outside of work, I love to cook, bake and eat; mostly the latter. I find cooking another way to release my creativity and allow me to explore different cuisines and tastes around the world. I would usually share my foodie adventures on my instagram as a way of documenting my culinary finds with friends and family.
I would also often organise and run fun or charitable events such as bake sales, egg hunts, bingo, movie nights for the office. I enjoy this a lot as it helps get the office together and allows people who don’t get to interact on a daily basis or have only met virtually to meet one another outside of their desk. It also brings joy and a smile on people’s faces.
I also love to travel, being in good company, all things cute and nerding out to computer games. I've started a small collection of collectable figurines ever since visiting Japan which have grown over the years and now decorate my humble abode. Watching Asian dramas is a favourite pastime of mine as it helps me practice Cantonese and piques my interests in other Asian languages and cultures.
